The Project

This partnership brings together 6 adult education organisations from 4 European countries, which are engaged in adult education against prejudice, xenophobia and discrimination with diverse learner communities, many of them from vulnerable social groups and in marginal social contexts.

The organizations will travel to each others' countries, exchange knowledge and best practices, assess experiences and strategies in designing, delivering and evaluating adult education practices with and for those target groups through the use of traditional and new media (written and audiovisual, CD Rom, social media, etc.)

Among the practices they will share are innovative low-threshold activities bringing different minority groups together, empowerment of victims of prejudice and xenophobia, and other activities to build alternative opportunities to access adult education strategies using new and traditional media for the greater public and those who are not in formal educational settings.

The overall goal of the partnership is to demonstrate that cooperation is not only possible but beneficial in the field of adult education to tackle prejudice and xenophobia, and represents a real opportunity to reinforce efforts towards one common greater objective of reinforcing social cohesion at the local, national and European levels.
